Hi all,

I'm a CI/OpEx professional who has managed various projects. (Of all sizes).

When dealing with change I always found that the cultural elements where always the harder issues.

Don't get me wrong effect change management can be effective and support heavily but this was always the hardest part for me.

Curious to see what everybody sees as an issue when trying to deliver change?

Maybe I've just been lucky, but I've never found this. I know which members of the team have concerns over change and address those, and each person, individually. So yeah, maybe I've just been lucky but I don't see issues in introducing change, change is important to keep adapting so the consequence of not changing is worse.

Never had an issue with managing change. Staff might whinge a bit but if engaged properly change is normally implemented smoothly.

I do agree, cultural elements are often the toughest part. In my experience, the challenge is addressing the fears and resistance of employees. In my view, it requires empathy and open communication. I think as long as you are leaving the line of communication open, a strong support system can help any team member in the change process. Just fostering a culture of trust and openness to make change less daunting for everyone involved methinks!
