Website Ownership After Liquidation

Hi everyone,

I'm a small business owner of a Limited company and I'm thinking of going through Voluntary Liquidation. I have no debt, no staff and no real business assets (so there shouldn't be any complications, or selling assets to pay creditors etc).

My question is: Once the liquidation is complete will I still be able to keep ownership of my domain name? The site wouldn't be in place, but I'd still like to keep ownership of the name. Or does this get sold off? I'm not sure if a website / domain name is classed as an asset. The website name is trademarked, but there's no real brand association with it.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

As above who owns it - you or the Ltd Co? If the latter you would need to buy the asset off the Company in Liquidation. Your chosen IP should be able to clarify for you.
