Just set up a test, and i have a question.

If i am testing my homepage against a test page and my conversion page is the contact page, if somebody goes.

Home page - boiler service page - contact us page

will optimiser see that as a conversion, or does the user have to go from the home page and then straight to the contact page?

They'll have to go to the home page before going to the conversion page as it's the homepage (or the alternative) that puts the cookie on their computer.

(but they could go to the conversion page, then the homepage, then back to the conversion page and that would be a conversion - i.e. the conversion page has to be after the page that's being split-tested, but all sorts of pages can be before, after or in-between)
