That’s a pretty good deal. Not sure I’d trust 123reg with my site though. I’d pay more to ensure support is there if needed.

I use these to look after me:

Hi guys,

Who do you use for your website hosting?

Currently with 123-reg who want £77/year for WordPress hosting.
The price of hosting varies significantly depending on the service type, Managed vs Unmanaged? Shared, VPS or Cloud hosting? Does the plan include backups? at what frequency? Are any security and speed services included? (some charge extra for SSL and WAF and some include them in the price, some offer CDN and caching tools and others charge extra) are staging sites included? How much bandwidth is included? or How many visitors per month? Server specs (Ram, CPU, Storage)

Hosting can start from 5 pounds per month for very cheap shared hosting from the likes of siteground and can go up to 100-300+ pounds/month for premium managed hosting from the likes of Kinsta or Krystal.

We also offer hosting, both managed and unmanaged on our London server, and I am happy to create a bespoke offer for you after understanding your needs.

Current host is doing a backup daily by the looks of it. The website really doesn't require much power at all as i'm a small local service based business. I know shared is usually cheaper and that's fine for us not having a great deal of traffic and we don't process any payments on our website either.

So there must be a reason you're looking around?

    Paul.

I am aware the website isn't for ecommerce and doesn't get a lot of traffic due to the nature of my business and have seen word press hosting for £2/3 month so I wondered if there were any other reputable companies offering that price. I don't want to pay the cheapest company if the service isn't good ?

    So £77/year is about £6/month.

Are you really spending all this time to save £3/month?

Surely you can focus on something that will boost your sales instead?

Remember in business, you can only cut expenses so far, whereas boosting sales is potentially unlimited.

    Paul.

You can go with basic shared hosting if your requirement is quit low, you can reduce your outgo quit drastically.
Just make sure you ask for data transfer as well, many host do offer free data transfer .. so just confirm.
