Welcome Miss Hardy

Local directories would be a good start, don't bother with the national free-for-all directories.

But there are gazillions of people doing what you do and most of them have to work very hard at their marketing. Advertising is always good as is getting ranking for niche keywords. You can also talk to people. Cold calling local businesses and pointing out issues with their existing copy can work and this can lead to referrals. But it's going to mean more marketing than copywriting for a while.

Thanks for the tip, I just want to make a success of this, I want to save people money and offer them the very best service. The one customer I've had so far was so impressed with the quality of work and the quick turnaround, they liked the idea that when things are getting on top of you there's people like me who take that work off your hands saving them valuable time and money.

Not easy, I just want to provide a good service with something I am very experienced at. I have done this for over 25 years. Its getting people on board really, it annoys me how theres so many dodgy companies out there that get away with murder and then theres good honest people who just want to operate a good business. Whats your business matt?

The barrier to entry on PPH is pretty low, so you do get a wide range in terms of quality! You have to play the game a bit, start off charging low then increase once you've built up your profile and feedback.

I'm in the data extraction / scraping business (although not for the purposes of crawling the web for emails and spamming people). Most of what I do is competitor price analysis for online retailers - however the service has a pretty wide reach...information is everywhere after all!
