Am I doing something wrong??

Have had a site uploaded for over 3 weeks now, yet only 1 page is indexed.

I often resubmit it, yet no difference. Should it take this long?

The pictures are 80% original content - Still taking their time to index them.
If you do an image search on google do the images appear? If you do a google search for the page URL does it appear in the results?

The Search Console is notoriously unreliable. I'd check the actual SERPs to see if the pages have been indexed.

Hi Hugh, if your site is only 3 weeks old it will take some time before google displays your content in the search results pages and your content relevance is hugely significant to whether it will be ranked after being indexed so make sure you add relevant and engaging content that is at least on a par with your competition. Good luck

Hi Lee - The site is over 6 years old.

It used to be an old "web page maker site" and it was just forgotten about - now upgraded to WP.

It still ranks no1 for a few of search terms just doesnt seem to want to get updated by the indexing tool as quickly as usual.

Hi Hugh,
Ah ok. I hear you. You can plan, plan and plan some more and follow all the best practices but Google can still offer surprises when it comes to indexing after site changes, particularly after redesigns or site moves.
If it still ranks in first place for some terms it is encouraging so just be patient (as hard as that is) as it does sound that its all heading in the right direction, albeit not as quick as you want! :)

Yeah I don't trust the number of pages in the search console, rather look up my domain using site: operator
