warning to new businesses opus pressure sales

I signed up for a shop last week and have persistant phone calls about
signing up with them.

I have since found out by reading money saving expert.com that they are very persistant and will not stop ringing you till you sign up.

I told the guy at opus that my partner was looking for a better deal and thats when he reminds me that i will be charged £1.90 a day for just the service and he is not bothered as i will be charged as time goes on.

I was asked when my partner would phone back and he rang back again .
Any body from watchdog please deal with this company as they
need tobe stopped.
This is my first business venture and i dont need pressure right from the start.
I told the next guy that he should send a letter to my address as i dont deal over the phone.He said well you are still being charged £1.90 a day for the servce only at the highest rate.
He asked me why i was going elsewhere and i told him i have read up on his company which i believe are brokers only and they bully customers into submission and i hung up.He rang back straight away and left a message which i wont bother listening too.
Just chillin out now with a bottle of wine.

We used to have Opus energy at a business of ours.
To say we were not happy with them would be a HUGGGGEEEE Understatement.
We wished we had paid that little bit extra and stuck with British Gas.

I would avoid this company like the plague. I dont often have strong feelings against companies but this is one i would happily see go bankrupt....preferably with owners crumbling under it.

If i did not know better i would have given my details over the phone and i would be in a contract with them,but since i smelt a rat i have told them that i wont deal over the phone.

My partner told them where to go and they tried to overtalk her and she hung up,with which they rang straight back and left a message.

any body who is off guard or vunerable could make a mistake and sign up with them.
I hope this helps other people to be on guard.

I would expect a letter from my eletricty company with the prices on and not to be beaten into submission to sign up there and then.
