Virtual Reality e-commerce platform

I am very happy to be a member of this forum. My name is Andrei, I have a small company in the electrical field but I have always been volatile and I have been looking for various ways to make money and explore different fields of activity. Over the years I have been involved in various projects and I started working on different ideas that, unfortunately, I did not make become a reality, but I saw over the years how they became reality through other people/companies.

Finally, now, I am looking for people who would be eager to work together to lay the groundwork for a virtual reality start-up. The financial expectations in this field are enormous and that is why I would like to open a company to deal with the development of a VR application (probably on the Meta platform but other circumstances are not excluded).

Through this application, users will be able to walk inside a virtual Megamall from where they will be able to purchase various products, services, and experiences. Users will use a VR headset to walk in this virtual reality, they will be able to buy products from merchants that exist in reality and after making the payment the orders will be placed and will be delivered to the desired address. The difference between a classic online store and this VR experience is that the user will be able to see the product size, colour, and other properties as he would see them in reality. Also, users can become sellers and open stores in this virtual environment, so the application becomes a realistic simulation where they can sell and buy any product available on the market.

I want to participate with this company and look for investors on crowdfunding sites like Indiegogo and Kickstart to see what the chances of such an idea would be.

I will discuss more details with those interested.

I am not looking for investors at the moment but I am looking for people willing to participate in the development of such a company through their work, instead, they will become shareholders.

It's likely 1000s of people had the idea. The difficulty is not the idea but the implementation. Facebook/Instagram/WhatsApp - all simple ideas. They won because they executed the idea and the marketed the platforms successfully to get the users.

I agree something like this will probably happen and be very big and successful - but you aren't the only person with this idea. What makes you think you can create the best one? My advice if you want a successful business is to go for something easier because there can really only be 1 Virtual Mall winning platform and the chances of it being you are very slim. Might as well buy a lottery ticket.

@ antropy , Thank you for your thoughts. It may be 1 M people having the same idea. I have no doubt. What I want is to give this idea a try. I can't be sure how successful the platform will be, but I can be sure that there will be such a platform and no matter what it is, if our platform has enough customers at that time, then it is already a winning ticket. Of course, after a market analysis, we can tell exactly how many store owners or businesses would be willing to place their business on such a platform. I will also find out what price a store owner would be willing to pay for his business to appear in this VR mall.
Let's not forget that in such a VR mall the advantage is that you don't have to hire sellers but you can pay for VR assistants to interact with customers and sell your product plus the algorithms will place your products to the most "vulnerable" customers.

So do you have the budget and experience to both develop it and market it?

I v got none of them, neither the budget, neither marketing experience. What I have is determination , that is why I'm looking for people to build a team so we can work together to make this a reality

It's already being done and created. Nike and Adidas are all over it with releases later this year.

So you're trying to learn some very difficult skills while using them to be the best in the world at something. It's like saying you're going to win an Olympic Gold without any training because you're determined.

My advice is start with something smaller and easier so you can learn and then revisit this one once you have some skills, experience, money, and a proven track record.

In other words, they don’t need you. The people with the skills can build and market this without any input from you.
