Hi All

I've just finished a 1 week free trial with Moneypenny Virtual PA's, and the results were encouraging, a

2 x Days a week I am out of the office and can't take calls so I would loose quite alot of potential buisness over the week trial They answered over 30 calls for me. Now that my trial is over they are looking a £99.45 p/m and £10 p/m for a regional land line number.

Is this a good price? anyone got any alternatives? which are cheaper/offer a better service

Only you will know if it is a good price or not.

You say in the month trial the results were encouraging. In what way ? the fact you had no missed calls or did it generate extra work for you business ?

If it is the latter, and the extra work generated far exceeds the cost of £99 p/m then yes it is a good price.

Moneypenny are a good company but you'll only know over time how they work out for you and a lot depends on how flexible the contract is.

One thing to think about is the landline number; they will own it not you so what happens if you want to leave them or hire your own staff? Are you able to buy the number from them?

For comparison, we do a VA service for £1 per call which can be switched on and off at will on a no-contract basis. Our numbers are £2pm. And we're a telephone company so you own the number and can take it to other providers or grow into a fully features PBX service as you get bigger.

I often work out of home - last time I used a business VOIP it wasn't compatible with Sky Fibre. I am now on Virgin Media is that any different? Not sure what the issue was something to do with the type of VOIP?

What should I check / look for?
