Hi

I was just wondering how many of you out there are trying to use video as a means to push traffic to your sites? I know some people who say they have had loads of traffic via this medium but I have yet to have success. Perhaps it depend on the product?

Let me have your feedback please. In the mean time this is a video I did over the weekend.... sorry for the plug but it is actually quite entertaining ;-)

Well video optimization is really a great activity to generate traffic and yes you are right its depend on product also. So my feedback goes to your product is great to get traffic from video.

I did a short video on fitflop shoes which I got quite a good response.... but I was expecting more of a response because of all the hype.

One method for spreading the word is probably to publish the videos on loads of different video sites.

Online video marketing is the key business differentiators for web companies wanting to communicate effectively their product profile and benefits within the shortest possible time. There is nothing else that comes close to the effectiveness and persuasion power of a well designed video message.

get clever

I quite like that little video of yours. I see what you're trying to say and the concept works pretty well, mixing up the retro glamour and modern luxury. Keep at it and keep playing with the video software, I think you'll do alright.

Be sure to consider search terms when you're adding your title and description, but probably most importantly be sure to make videos which people want to watch more than once and pass on to their friends!

I'm only asking because I have 2 friends who in the past 2 weeks have both been slapped a bill for £1000+ for each using just 1 image that they had no permission for.

They too obtained them from Google image search and got caught (in the same way we can find out of people steal our video!). The one has managed to pay, but the other now can't afford to run his business as a result.

Don't want to knock you on the head or anything, but it's a very real possibility if you use such images that you'll get bitten in the backside for it. Obviously I'd hate to see anyone suffer financially, so might be worth getting yourself on the straight and narrow by either removing the video until you can re-edit it with copyright free images (or permissioned images), or by contacting each of the image owners and asking for permission.

Sorry to make this message such a downer! I'd just hate to see this happen again.

Hi,

Mere static text and images; just don't cut it any more.
We live in a visual World.

Getting our message across "clearly" through a webpage is a challenge for any Business; Video speaks for itself.

Increasing User engagement and Search Engine Optimization; Video can be easily distributed to a network of video sharing websites i.e. YouTube, Metacafe, Viddler etc… increasing your websites traffic and conversion.

Recently I published an article "SEO benefits of having video on your website". Maybe, some members might find it interesting:

Have a great day.

Hi,

Yes, I posted some duplicated content on two different subs. Why exactly are you pointing this out?

If it's against the UKBF rules; my sincere apologies to all.

When you state "Copying and pasting 'just don't cut it' either!", why not?

Kind Regards,

Funnily enough it is an avenue I am expploring....
Early days yet,but have a few videos on You Tube & on Google search for "wet rooms Halifax!" my You Tube channel ranks at no 8 on first page, along with 2 results from Brownbook,1 result from Freeindex & 2 results from my own website.
This is not a post about web seo, just to illustrate potentially how good You Tube may be outside the You Tube environment !
