I don't condone Prince Andrew but do not see why the UK should grant USA extradition when they refuse to send back Anne Sacoolas for trial here for killing the motorcyclist.

You cannot extradite someone who has diplomatic immunity. It is not working in one direction.

EDIT: As you cannot use the words diplomatic and Prince Andrew in the same sentence, the same does not apply to him.

However i believe that as it is a civil case and not criminal the UK/US extradition treaty does not apply - it does mean however he can never fly to any US territory or anywhere that does have an extradition treaty with the US covering civil proceedings in fear of immediate detainment.

PS the Diplomatic immunity of Ann Sacoolas was not established until after she left the UK. Whilst in the UK she had been listed (to UK immigration) as a Spouse with no role, the fact she was apparently actually working for US intelligence invalidates various things (if she had been declared as an intelligence worker she would have been covered but then would not have been released by the Police at first questioning) - the US have seriously been having their cake and eating it with her case
