I've got a great question. You have successful British Internet properties such as CV-library and spareroom that are based on a good idea and whose users are primarily responsible for the site's content. Is it too late to create a similar site based on an idea where the users sign up to seek each other for a provlem/solution they have? What unexplored niche idea is there that could be very suitable for an Internet based, user generated search list? Hope you can understand my question. Remember: there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.

Besides having a forum then yes there could be room for more sites where users sign up to seek problem / solution.

No idea if you could ever break even on it, would need to spend a lot to get the two halves to use it.

There are probably hundreds of unexplored niches. Perhaps worth exploring, may give it a try one day.

There are umpteen forums, websites, blogs, social media and other channels where questions asked and solutions provided. Stackexchange being a good one. Then there are all the freelancers sites.

There is nothing new in what you are suggesting.
