I've just registered for myself free UK phone number with VOICEMAIL. Everything works perfect! I recorded my personal voicemail message and made test call to my number. After I received e-mail from FlexTel with recorded message. They provide more useful options like call redirecting to your mobile phone..
Excellent product, you might find it really useful for your business.

I don't wish to burst your bubble, but...

1.Their service is for incoming calls only and can never be used to make a call. This means that your outbound CLI is shown as you mobile or domestic line not your business number so callers will call back on the wrong number

    2. The numbers are all non-gegraphic and some are really nasty - 070, 0871 and 0870 - which was always a useless number for a business but since Ofcom changed the rules in August will not work for them.

Even 0844/5 are barely usable, consumers generally won't call them

If it's not too late, you'd be better advised dumping the number and getting a real geographic one. If you must have a non-geo at least get it from a VoIP company so that at a later date you can both make and receive calls from it.

The numbers of that website are counter productive and instead of giving your business a national appearance they prevent people from phoning.

Every body knows 0800 is free phone and the majority of people know 0845 is local rate however there has been a lot of uncertainty over the 0870 and 0871 numbers recently if potential customers don't know what the call will cost they wont phone.

When I changed my 0870 number (provided free) to an 0845 number (provided for £7.99 per year) the number of calls and new customer enquiries rose, I recently changed to an 0800 number which costs just 8 per month with 200 minutes included and have again seen an increase in the number of calls and enquiries I receive
