Good Morning all,

I have recently started a company in the last 4 months and purchased a couple of databases from an email marketing company for around £675.00.

I have two databases which are of all the UK Businesses containing very detailed data (inc email).

I have the data available for sale at £75.00 if anyone is interested.

I am more than happy to send the data first if i can see your company is genuine etc.

You do realise they will have some seed records that go back to the company that sold the data specifically so they can track if it is being resold or abused.

Most data you 'buy' comes with usage limitations: 12 months unlimited emailing, or max 3 emails, and within 3 months of purchase - check your T&C's in the contract you have when you bought the data.

You also have data protection issues. If the data has personal information - names or personal emails - then you cannot sell it without the consent of the data subject.

You generally can sell it, as long at you have the correct consents. Note that email consent is even more complex - they have to opt in to get information on a specific product/service, or from a specific company.

Of course, most list builders ignore this....
