Tool for creating product descriptions

I built an automatic description generator for my e-shop, but thought it might be helpful for others too. Turning it into a website to see if anyone else needs it: hypotenuse-ai.com
What do you think? Would it be useful?

Coming from an e-commerce background where I teach businesses how to sell products in the right way, this tool sounds like it's corner-cutting.

What's the point in spending time and effort to get people to your product pages, only for them to see non-tailored product descriptions that do not sell the product in the right way and tick the right boxes for the customer?

E-commerce isn't about flooding a site with products and hoping for the best. It's about selling the right products, in the right way, to the right customers.

There's nothing worse than seeing product descriptions that have just been ripped off from a manufacturer site either.

Sorry if I'm being unfair but, whilst this may seem like a handy time-saver, it's actually not doing your sales any favours because you've not created the descriptions with your customer or a sales-focused objective in mind.

Your product pages are your 'money pages'. They need to be created and refined carefully, otherwise you are just wasting your time.

In your example the AI has generated the following which is hard to read and understand (the 'fun' bit) compared with the one written by a human, which in my opinion is much better.

"Do you think everyone has fun? Think again because this dress from Hypotenuse will make it easy for you to have a good time."

Writing product description has a lot of similarities with telling a story. In fact, almost people always start with a story and then highlight the benefits of the product promoting.

You should follow the format: Product feature + Benefit (the answer to a “so what?” question) + real-life situation

Let’s say I’m promoting Santa Stockings.

I may write something like this:

“Imagine the look at your child’s face when she starts running downstairs on Christmas morning and seeing her Santa Stocking full to the brim with her favorite toys, treats, and goodies!

Plus we’ll your holiday extra special by embroidering this stocking with her name in white or gold thread for FREE!
