There might be a couple of keys on your keyboard with a speaker symbol with a + & - sign next to them, failing that check the sound settings either by the speaker symbol next to where your PC time is displayed or go to control panel > sounds and audio devices and check your volume levels there

Now that is TUNE ....... funnily enough I listened to it the the other day as I live in a time warp and have my shop radio tuned to Smooth FM all day ........ another of my top faves is Seventeen by Janis Ian ..... don't like the Herb Alpert bit in the middle any more but the lyrics said everything I ever needed to hear as a teenager ("I learned the truth at 17 that love was meant for beauty queens and high school girls with clear skinned smiles who married young and then retired") as I was always such a plain gangly thing ..... my two sisters were both petite and gorgeous and I was just ridiculously tall with huge teeth ("And those of us with ravaged faces Lacking in the social graces Desperately remained at home Inventing lovers on the phone Who called to say, "come dance with me" And murmur vague obscenities It isn't all it seems at seventeen)

Thanks, but she was right! I was 5'10 at 13 and built like a stick of spaghetti .......my sisters were both petite and pretty and talented (both were boarders at White Lodge, the Royal Ballet School which is really difficult to get a place at) ...... so she did have a valid point!!!! And anyway, as it happens I didn't get that much taller and I think racehorses are rather nice now

Oh yes ...... the Yvonne Fair version of that song was absolutely brilliant .. used to yell along with that one, hair brush in hand, full of teenage angst and wounded by unrequited love ....
reminds me actually ...... earlier than this but when I was about 13 ... I was forbidden from wearing makeup but was quite obsessed with emulating film stars (who always wore lippy) trying to work out where their noses went when they kissed...... anyhooooo managed to snaffle a bottle of Benylin cough mixture from the bathroom cabinet which I used to smother all over my lips and then sit in front of my bedroom mirror practising saying "I love you" ..... my room must have reeked of the stuff!
I was a Donny Osmond fan then ahhhhh, 1973 ....
Back to Saturday Night Fever though ........ excellent album, also went to the Saturday Night Fever dance classes so that I could dance in a long line with all my chums just like in the movie ....... good times x

I won a Saturday Night Fever dancing comp (I used to go to dancing lessons,) I won (wait for it) £30; which was a lot then. I blew the lot on a haircut, some boots, and I took all my mates to a really fab night club in Nottingham, I lived in the Midlands then.

I was a David Cassidy and a Donny Osmond fan, I thought DC had fab hair!!
(and was pretty good looking to boot)!

I used vaseline as lippy gloss, I once used petroleum jelly, and it made my lips all blister.

I once sprayed my hair full of some form of glitter, I leant over the gas cooker and ignited my fringe - it stunk to high heaven, and I did not dare go out to the clubs until it grew back (gawd I thought it was the end of the world)

I also won about 12 of (I think it was black russian mixer) by schweppes, they organised the comp! I gave them to my Mum, she said; pity they did provide the Vodka to go with them

I used to live to dance, these days I love Latin dancing, the mamba and such (can't do them) but the moves are fantastic and so sensual

£7.00 was a a lot then, a whole weekend out and about, make-up; with a bit to spare for the week.

Although I am a disco diva at heart, my mood definitely dictates my choice of music ---- I also love Nirvana, Free, Fleetwood Mac, George Gershwin, Billie Holiday, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Ian Dury, Bob Marley, The Who, Rod Stewart, Celo Green ........... and classical choice would be Erik Satie ..... love Gymnopodies (probably not even close to spelling it correctly!) ..... guess my Dad influenced alot of my musical choice as he's a musician but my mum was a Tommy Steele fan so didn't get any help from her whatsoever!!!!
