This Video WILL make you SLOW DOWN!

Yup, it's one scary video.

I always drive very slowly around children and where there are lots of parked cars, as you never know who will appear out from behind one of them. If you do go quickly, then you NEED to pay attention at all times. A lot of the accidents in that video (some are fake by the way) were more about a lack of attention than actual speed. The bloke ogling the woman, the person running over the lady from behind, the person running into the back of the woman in the car and so on. If you're going to overtake, then you don't do it when there's a good risk of getting in the way of an oncoming car. I'd like to think that some people aren't that moronic, but they probably are out there.

PS: I'd also hope that only an incredibly small percentage of drivers out there are stupid enough to actually make the car go airborne with such high speeds.

That video has been doing the rounds on Facebook for a while.

I have to say I am a little unconformable about a car/van rental businesses hijacking it to use as a viral to bring traffic to their site.

But it is a very effective video.

I'm not a fan of those videos to be honest. Sure it can make people slow down, but it's unfair on careful drivers and ordinary non-drivers who may be paranoid that a car is going to roll over and land on them while they're sitting on a wall at any minute.

PS: Not sure where it is on the video, but in the part where the bloke is crossing the road and the the car rolls over the top of him - he actually survived that. The car buckled when the other car smashed into the side of it, and the man slid into that space when the car went over him.

The video with the bloke facing the camera and getting ran over whilst walking is also fake, just in case people are emotional as they think that they've just actually seen 3-4 videos of real people dying.

theres a peculiar urge these days for people to let there children out of the car on the busy road side of the car e.g. instead of telling them to wait and get out on to the pavement, they're letting 4/5 year old kids just climb out straight in to a busy road.

a couple of years ago i almost ran over someones labrador when he decided that he would open the cars back door and allow the dog to jump straight out in to the middle of a 40mph road, causing everyone else to swerve around him, he didn't seem at all bothered.

Having a vehicle weighing a ton and a half traveling in the same space as human beings was never going to be a good idea.

Being a careful driver or a non driver will not save you from those that are not.Allied to which it only takes a split second for that good and safe driver to wipe a family out and become a bad driver.

Being paranoid about traffic is probably a very good idea.

Having been driving for 55 years ,some of them involved in a haulage company .I have seen things that I would not mention on the forum as they were just to shocking.

Just think nearly everyone knows someone who has been killed or injured in a road traffic accident.

Gut wrenching and upsetting, thanks for sharing Phil lets hope the word spreads and has the desired effect.

Yep this video should be showed everytime a car add for those morons when they see adds for 4x4's The undertakers friend.:)

You are 127 times more likely to die if hit by one of these chelsea tractors than if involved with an ordinary car.

thats is true
but if everyone was a careful driver and not took risks then the roads would be a safer place. Accsidents wll happen but for the reason that was out of the drivers control not their negligence

Speed is nearly always the main issue.

I would rather have an accident at 10mph than 90mph....l

Very true.

A car travelling at 40mph has 4 times the energy of a car travelling at 20mph.

You may being driving perfectly 'safely' at 40mph in a 30mph zone but if a child runs out in front of you it will most likely be fatal...

...at 20mph the child will probably survive.
