The Bug List

I find it a fair bit slower than before with the login box "popping up" in the middle of the screen for a second or two at every refresh or page change.

While the forum looks a bit more modern, I find it a bit less obvious to read. Has the useful width been reduced?

I too get the login box hanging around for it's breakfast in the middle of my screen. I had no problem with 'quick reply' however the edit function did not work at all. I'll try it again. I've just noticed that when I add an icon to my message it pops up alongside the right hand edge of the reply title. Will post and see where it ends up. Cheers guys.

Oh... I also noticed that the forum doesn't allow for animated gifs as an avatar.

I have a few messages from folks saying they can login but then do not have permission to do anything. I know where to look to fix this, but just need to work out what to change to fix it :)

I have intentionally disabled the facility for animated avatars as I did not want lots of people having them distracting from the messages.

Fixed - anyone who was in the group "Director" had zero permissions to do anything but now you have a bit more PM space and facilities to do a bit extra than the "Executives" who have a few more permissions and storage than the "Entrepreneurs". No-one has made it to Chairman yet though.

Mostly the same errors as the others..

    • Slow load
    • Ads not showing randomly, getting three of the same
    • Footer just keeps on scrolling

Im not a big fan of the custom "new thread" graphic on the homepage, but thats just me nit-picking.:)

Viewing on Firefox for the Mac.

Slow load ... am not going to optimise DB until all changes needed to fix bugs are done.
Ads ... to be honest this is last on my list, so long as Duane's ad is showing I'm happy (so is he).
Footer ... uh? Please elaborate :)

I couldn't get in at all earlier but emailed and that's been sorted - thank you.

I get no icons at all in Firefox 1.5.0.2 Windows XP Home SP2 - e.g. the icons that show whether there are any new posts. In the New Posts area I get a text link to go to the latest message.

It all works beautifully in IE 6.0.

lower than ghandi's flip flop on your to do list i know... but where has the ability to add colour to posts gone?

as many will testafy, I loved that feature... maybe people lobbied to stop me using it :)

Andy - the facility is there <smile>

You might need to go into your user control panel and select the advanced wysiwyg option then it can be done and easier than the last forums

    :)

Don't know but XP & Firefox just won't work for me.

I'd clear my cookies but I'd lose all my auto sign-ins. Anyone know the UKBC cookie?

Apart from the initial page which lists the forums, I couldn't access anything from home (XP with FFox or IE6). I got many errors on the page, including "couldn't run vbulletin_init" and "couldn't run vbmenu_(something???)". It works fine from this W2000 computer. I tried deleting all cookies and flushing the cache, but no result.

I eventually got it working. To do it I:

    1.close ukb browser
    2. delete bookmark
    3. delete cookies
    4 clear cache

I'm using Firefox on a Mac G4 with OSX. I find the whole thing very "jumpy" It loads in bits before settling down and when I go back to the Forum Index I find that whole chunks are missing. Sometimes it lists only the top five categories, sometimes the top ten. I have to reload the page to get the full listing up.
