Quick reply doesn't seem to work for me in IE/XP - it's disabled.

The "thank you" message when you log in is a pain - can it be changed to just let us get on with things and not have the extra click?

All looks nice though. Great customisation job.

Contact Us - Uk business forums etc is too far over to the right. If you cant see it then just let me know and I will send you a screen shot.

Another thing I've noticed is the user preferences. It may be worth letting everyone know that they'llneed to go change their settings if they want to continue to be notified of new posts and PMs'

Yes I have same problem with quick reply.

How fantastic I joined the forum yesterday and the next day you switch to my favourite forum engine. The New Posts button is great.

I think it did appear - it's just because posts get added below the post you replied to rather than in chronological order of when they were posted. It'll take a bit of getting used to and I'm sure some posts will be missed when a thread is very active

you have to click the quick reply icon in bottom right corner of a post to enable it (which makes it not so quick....)

Can the UKBF logo be made clickable again

The left column is a fair bit wider than it was before making the forum itself a tad too narrow

Escaping of apostrophes in imported sigs has gone tits up. See YEM's current signature for an example.

Hi,

I had five messages in my inbox showing as unread. I've read them yonks ago.

It's not a bug I know but it's already bugging me - the centre main bit is too narrow. Although as I type the left hand menu side thing which had a lot of white space seems to be shrinking.

Better put those special cookies away........

Might be an idea Ozzy to send all users an email telling them of the change and the fact the PM system is smaller.

I've tried replying to a PM but can't as the other person 'has exceeded their quota'

Ok guys, I was expecting lots of messages and here they are

PM's - The user groups are a bit screwed which means that a lot of you (about 2,000 of you) have no PM quota and no signature facility. I need to run the usergroup maintenance to work you all through your "promotions". The longer you have been a member the more PM quota and extra features you get.

Signatures - see above.

Quick Reply - Need to work out how to get quick reply always enabled.

Disappearing Messages - some of you need to have your postings approved by a moderator. Not intentionally but if your messages are not appearing you may find that they are waiting in a Moderator queue for Matrixx, Alpha and Duane to approve to be posted. Just need to work through the permissions for all user groups.

More to come as I find it, but they all boil down tweaking the user permissions on these forums. Please keep any bugs coming on this thread only.

Yes to overcome spamming problems new members are initially unable to use private messaging, signatures or edit their profile. Once you have made a few posts and been a member for a few days all these will become available.

can just about see the reply box in Opera. Cannot reply at all in IE MAC (I guess the new VB does not support MAC IE being outdated, however other forums work.

In MAC IE I cannot see any reply boxes, nor am I able to reply to any posts or PM's

Any tips?

Try disabling the WYSIWYG editor in your preferences/options under the UserCP menu option. It might just be the Javascript doesnt work on your MAC browser.

No luck with that because neither of the functionality is working including drop-menus etc. I have used other forums of the same software without problems. Not sure if they use JS

Morning Guys, just trying a 'quick reply'. I'm finding the forum very very slow but seeing as no one else is picking up on that it could be something at my end. Anyway, well done for getting this up & running so quickly.

One benefit I suppose is that if folk can't post it'll put an end to some of the bickering :wink:
