Text Alerts

Hi guys , i’m new here and wondering if you kind people could give me some advice?

I want to send text alerts to my customers weekly, does anyone do this and could anyone be so kind to point me to a good service provider ?

Be aware that (depending on your relationship with your customers, their frequency of purchase and the importance of your product) people might find weekly text alerts tantamount to spam.
Also there are very clear rules on opting in to marketing texts and if you fall foul of that and are UK based, you could open yourself up to a lot of hassle from Ofcom.

Start sending me weekly alerts and I won't be your customer for much longer.

Only do this for those who have agreed to receive the alerts. Never ever automate the process, make it opt-in only.

Hi thank you for your comments, it’s a sports related business, text alerts will be a opt-in on a monthly basis .

We do text our customers, but just because it is one of our core offerings (alerts when your site is down or modified) and they even have to buy those texts in advance. So far we've only used bulksms and are happy with the result.

We use Twilio which is set up with our CRM system. I think it would all depend on what system you currently use or if your wanting just an SMS TXT service.
