I hold a Tesco Clubcard, which is a loyalty card that gives vouchers to spend on Tesco shopping when you have accrued enough points. I registerd for my vouchers to be used as Christmas savers - under this scheme you don't get your vouchers until November and you can also save money into the same scheme and get a bonus. I put £200 into the scheme and got £12 bonus. My total spending vouchers amounted to £293 - £81 from points awarded for spending, £12 bonus and £200 my cash.
I always order online and have my shopping delivered. A few months ago Tesco stopped sending paper receipts with the delivery and issued online receipts. the online receipts are extremely difficult to understand and what would be a single A4 sheet as a paper receipt would now take 9 pages to print.
I received an order last week which I mainly paid for with vouchers. The receipt, instead of showing the cost of each item, shows the cost AFTER the value of the vouchers used has been apportioned across the whole order. I bought 1 item for 1.20, the receipt shows original price 1.20, cost 0.16. I rejected this item and have received a refund of 16p.
Does anyone else see this as fraud?
