Taking payment from abroad.

I want to expand to the states, south america and europe.

I currently have a merchant account twinned with sage and also accept paypal.

Does anyone know if i have to do anything special to get payment from anywhere in the world?

How is the exchange rate calculated?

These are probably basic questions, but i got to start somewhere

You dont have to do anything - atleast not for europe.
Just ensure you allow people from abroad to register on your site. The majority of payments will come from visa or mastercard for which your merchant account will accept payments from.

As for the exchange rate - that is worked out by visa/mastercard. You can usually get it on their website but it changes all the time.
