I've posted in previous threads about the poor functionality of the Supply 2 Gov website, which has one of the least intuitive search facilities I've ever seen. Today I received the following email:

16 September 2010 - London

Book now – only £85

Are you confused by contract notices?

This workshop is designed to provide you with the skills you require to instantly understand which contracts are right for your business and to ensure you receive the correct information to tender.

It will explain:

CPV Codes
How to respond
Lots
Duration
Value
And much more…

If you would like the chance to win more tenders, this event is for you.

So instead of redesigning the website into simple, easy-to-use structure, they want all of us to wait six months and then pay them £85 so we can learn how to use their opaque website. Excellent.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about our service and I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with us and specifically that you were not happy with the contract search service.

The event to which the email correspondence refers, is focussed on how to respond to a contract opportunity and not actually on the functionality of the Supply2.gov.uk service.

I will ask the Supply2.gov.uk helpdesk to contact you to assist you with your search queries and will log your feedback regarding the search service for future reference.
