Hi,

I'd like to suggest creating a new subforum under the SEO/SEM forum.

This would help businesses here connect with each other, improve their rankings on Google and thanks to the great community here there would be only quality websites, based in UK, so link exchanges would be very beneficial.

Let me know what you think guys.

Sigh. Any link exchange you get for free from unrelated websites have a value score of about zero.

Link exchanging only works if there is value for the visitor. If I sell socks and link to my wool supplier who links to the ethical dyemaker who links to an ecology site and back again then they are good connections. Add a reason for the existence of the link and you will score points from google.

But an indian sausage factory SEO company exchanging links a to chinese dropshipper is worthless (both are members of this forum). Plus of course it's going to get spammed to death.

Hi there,

Where did I mentioned exchanging links with unrelated websites?

I'd be looking not only for related websites but also for quality websties of real businesses.

I don't think it'd get spammed to death, especially as it'd be great if it was only for businesses existing in UK, the IT/web design forum doesn't get spammed even thought anyone can post a do-follow link to their website and ask for help or simply evaluation of design.

No but that's what will happen. Any offer of link exchanging will attract all sort of characters, many of them desperate for anything no matter where the link originates.

That's because the members here report enyone asking for a rewiew who isn't a full member.

That's their problem.

Well, if they're reporting on that section, I'm sure they won't mind reporting on the link building forum.
