Hi guys,
are there any business grants available for people setting up businesses over the age of 30? I have heard of 1 or 2 for people under the age of 26 I think it was but not over that age.
I've been working in my field of work now for just over 10 years and i'm thinking of venturing off and doing it myself which I have managed the business for most of that 10/11 years as it is anyway and thought about this for the past few years. The worrying thing we all must go through is leaving a job and hoping you can make up next months bills etc.
I would be doing it from home/on-site visits to carry out repairs to keep overheards low as well. The going rate in my area for this kind of work is £50/£60per hour which would mean I need 1-1.5 jobs a day to match my current wage. Obviously I would be aiming for a lot more jobs but i'm thinking what I need minimum right now to get by and there will be other business overheards such as a vehicle, insurances etc.
I have no written contract as well so advertising/working in the same area won't be a problem.
Thank You
