start a new business (recruitment agency)

Hi there,
I am interested in opening a recruitment agency. Can anyone give me a list of mandatory things that are needed to start a business like this? Are there any laws I need to be aware of, any licensing requirements etc.? I currently have a Limited liability company and am trading as a building contractor (project management). I will be continuing to do this but wish to expand the business by starting to supply temporary staff to businesses (recruitment agency). Will I have to inform Companies House about the new business?
Please, any advice would be helpful!

Search on here, this thread has been done plenty of times and if you don't know the answers to your questions you shouldn't be setting up your own agency.
Go get some experience in an agency first.

I agree with Richie here, in your case please go get some experience. Starting with temps is the hardest place to start and you are more at risk of failing by operating a temp desk, unless you plan very carefully... In this climate take no chances that can financially ruin you...

Got to agree with the other guys. Recruitment is a specialised area and no place for the uninformed. Suggest you take a look at the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) site
