    After a week or so of use, here's a few UX comments.

    1. on my iPad the UKBF logo at the left is stretched vertically down the screen covering tabs and texts

    2. All these awards seem a bit silly to me, I've no idea what they are or why I'd want them but they keep appearing.

    3. I'm not getting on with the 'latest activity' feature. I think it replaces the 'what's new' tab but it doesn't work the same way. For a start there's an extra step as it's behind 'forums' but the real issue for me is that instead of showing the thread with the new posts, it shows all the new posts made so if a thread is quite active it fills the page with all those new posts. To find the threads with new posts you have to load more pages. Maybe there's somewhere else showing just active threads?

    4. I can't use the forum with my Macbook because of hanging problems, don't know why yet, but might get to the bottom of it today. (Works fine on my iMac).

    Hi ya @cjd and thanks for the feedback;

    A quick answer on your points 3 and 4 for you;

    3.
    The answer you are looking for on this one is here: https://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/threads/wheres-the-new-posts-option.415714/
    Latest is not related to just the forum, it will because more purposeful as more functionality on the site is rolled out.

    4.
    I have the same issue as you on my Macbook at home, it's related to rare and intermittent wifi issues which I posted on your thread about the site hanging. In particular, I have a mesh network in my home which may be related.

    All running fine on both my MacBook and MacPro so might be worth rechecking your latest updates oh and I have tried running through both Safari and Chrome. Yep not sure what all the points systems mean have set my default page to Recent posts with some added defaults but don't feel it works the same as the old "new post" future maybe I just need more training ....... oh and I have no idea how to add a smily face as I can't see the function ?

    Thanks for 3. that's better :)

    As for 4, it's not a rare occurrence, it's made the site unusable for me on that machine - hence me now using my iPad just to read this site. It's a fairly old machine but it worked on the old site and still works on other sites. It's a puzzle but I'm getting one of the tech heads to look at it this week.

    What I mean't was it's rare for me at home, but it is happening.

    The old site was some 10 year old tech. Again, only referring to myself, but this new site runs on streaming workers where the old site was basically static pages. Could be related, again only on my own personal experience at home it gave the error when I was connected to the mesh extender and not the base unit, and when the mesh extender renegotiated the connection to the base for a few seconds.

    That's the only time myself and my colleagues have been able to recreate the error.

    Tech guy has now done a lot of testing and checking. There is something about the new site that's crashing this particular Macbook. It really doesn't like my version of Safari and I can't get 15.1 without going to Big Sur OS. But he's done some testing on another machine and given me thumbs up to upgrade OS and Safari. Let's see what else I've broken…

    Is there a way to post an image not from the PC not on a website? eg screen shot?
    Copy pate doesn't seen to work and the only option shown in the insert image is for a link.

    Updating to Big Sur and Safari 15.1 seems to have worked.

    A minor point perhaps, @Ozzy but the numbered list function seems to have disappeared.

    It is possible that I was the only person on here to use them though!
    Urgh, so they have. Tagging my colleague @Ethan39 so he can have a look into it.

    There is a problem with this website, half the time it does not load and keeps locking up. And that is on three different machines, one on W7 and two on W10.
    The following error message comes up :

    Oops! We ran into some problems. Please try again later. More error details may be in the browser console.

    I have set up a temporary account "CheckUp" and it works absolutely fine on UK Business Forums on the same networks.
    There is a bug associated with my original account, the question is how many other people's account does it also affect ? How can it only affect my account ? And how come Ozzy, whose website this is, seems unconcerned, that's the thing I really don't understand. If it was my site I'd want to be getting to the bottom of it PRONTO.

    Just a reminder, I get the following error message (which I do not remember seeing anywhere else) :

    "Oops we ran into some problems. Please try again later. More error details may be in the browser console"

    Can we have the 'Preview' button back please? I miss it. Having to edit a post once it's live is a pain.

    Nobody has been in touch with me.
    Dude, it's Christmas and as I've just commented on the other thread now. I'm not willing to call my developers back from their Christmas holiday for an intermittent issue on the forum for one user. They'll have a look early Jan when they're back from the holidays.

    They certainly have got better things to be doing on a bank holiday, like putting posts on a Covid thread! I've been at work today !!

    Aaaawww no one has been in touch with you...it's a bank holiday and if you want to work it then that is your choice but many don't want to - and if you have read the other post then you will know that the developers will take a look when they are back from holiday as that is what you've been told.

    Do you expect someone to sort out an issue for you within a few hours during a bank holiday when you are one a free to use website?

    Added to the feature list, didn't realise it had gone until I just went to try and find it. Don't know if it has simply been removed from this version of XF or if it's missed from the theme. Depending on which will depend on how easy it would be to put it back :)
