So eBays biggest seller, Babz Media has seemingly disappeared overnight.

There's lots of speculation online as to what's happened, but the most favourable one is that they were under declaring to Royal Mail who have closed their accounts.

Anyone awaiting orders from them?

Anyone any other concrete news on it?

Babz Media? Never heard of them. As long as the products they were selling are still available on ebay it's not even news that Ms Babz has gone missing.

I assure you it is news! This is a company with 10 million feedback on ebay! Bad news for their suppliers and staff, hopefully the buyers awaiting orders from them will be protected by ebay / paypal.

It's certainly good news for a lot of us smaller sellers, as the prices Babz charged could not be competed with!

I'm surprised it took this long for a thread to show up. It has been on a few other forums, nothing definite has come about but as you say a lot of people seem to be saying it is something to do with Royal Mail. Would explain why they had started using myhermes recently.

I did wonder how they could do stuff so cheap, as a regular buyer from them I am a bit gutted. Their envelopes and grip seal bags were a bargain.

That's an interesting take on it... I'd not considered the negatives for businesses who were using postal supplies from them and effectively benefiting from their (alleged) under declarations.

That's massive news. Apparently the turnover for last year was £19m

Got to admire how they handled that type of volume though. They were second in the top 10 sellers globally in June. Must have been sending out about 20,000 orders a week.

Yeah but if what's being posted online is true, it's pretty easy to sell everything at a loss and rely on fraud to make a profit ;)
