I once tried site investment before.
I purchased the site in question off a person from:
marketplace . sitepoint .com

It didnt go that well, and though I made roughly £200, it didnt seem much for the amount of time I put into it.

Im thinking of trying it again, but this time buy from someone locally, who I can meet up with, and if things get bad, I can call/email them for advice/help.

The thing I dont know though, is where I can find people who are willing to sell their websites that are close to:
Gloucester.

Any websites/people you know who could help?

How much will you be prepared to pay your mentor?

If you buy a site and it all goes pearshaped then you must expect to pay to get help. I suspect that you won't find anyone who will sell you a website then provide free help so that you can make money. Business doesn't quite work like that.

Last time I invested in a website, the person gave me occasional advice over MSN [IM], but it was quite infrequent.
Being a [child] people usually try to help me, though I know some wouldnt.

If they wouldnt help at all, I'd be willing to pay.
