Site extension

Hi,

If I did another web site as an extension of BowBiz, using MS Publisher, would I need another domain name or could I add it on to my site? (like an information page, somewhere to put letter to and from my customers. I didn't really want a forum.

Thanks

Jayne

MS Publisher creates the worst html code I've ever seen for websites, seriously don't use it. I've seen one site this week that just doesn't do anything in firefox.

Of course if you want to be exclusive to interent explorer only users then go ahead.

Hi,

Now you tell me, up to my third page,, been at it ages

It's not a money making thing, it's just to offer info' to my customers. I don't want it to pull my Designer done, web site down the rankings. You see, I have to ask my designer to change things on my BowBiz site, if I have somewhere like another section, I can mess about with that all I want and change it straight away.

I don't know how to do html stuff! And get irritated if i've to wait for someone else to do stuff for me :D

Jayne start with the basics and then change it see the results and then get braver, learn as you go along. That’s how I started 5 years ago. I knew nothing about html and I brought a magazine that said 'put your music on the internet' I followed the ten steps and hey presto, from there I just played and learnt.

Honestly it's worth the long slog.

I've got that one Rob, but the publisher one is a doddle to do.

I'll scrap that one and have a go at the other one, it's just someone told me front page was rubbish too! That's why I had a go at the other one instead of front page.

I've tried to have a go at the html thing and all I managed was to try home page right before I mucked it up

I haven't time to wait to learn it, I find it hard to concentrate on all that text. It's way too stressful, i'll leave that to the web blokes

Hi Jayne

Going back to the original question, you could always have a sub-domain, such as newsletter.BowBiz.co.uk - most hosters will set this up for free and it means you can publish it as a separate site.
