Hi

I keep running into a common problem where the accounts team or other directors need to access SaaS applications, bank, credit cards etc and needs an SMS to go to a phone which is usually one of the other directors. This turns into a problem If he is not around or gets annoyed at having to read out the number all the time.

I was wondering how anyone has come across a virtual sim (SMS) that can be shared between authorised people as an installed app on their phone. Or what does everyone else do?

I just found this forum - so looking forward to looking around.

Thanks

This is a thing - it's a product we sell.
We have customers who look after children in care and need to have staff access the SMS of children in their care who quite probably don't have the ability to use a mobile.
Rather than have a rack with 10 mobile phones in, that they'd have to keep charged, they just log into one portal and access them all in one place - or even get all the SMS relayed as a push notification to a single staff member's phone.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The whole point of 2FA is to make things secure. Not sure its intended to be shared.

Can the others have their own login and 2FA? If not, why? If the answer is because they are not authorised, then they shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

At least using the current method, the accounts team or directors will know whats going on (even if they are annoyed!), which should reduce the opportunity for fraud.

You could get a Twilio (maybe other providers) mobile number for text and probably route it or use a platform like Graham mentioned (but would need email notification).

I use a platform called Sendiio, but that might be overkill as it offers several other marketing functions as well.
