Setup Company Email ?

Hi all I was wondering how you setup a company email like

e.g.@rubery&jones.com

I thought that was the case, and then how do you set it up afterwards ?

Yep - when you buy the domain name you'll be able to set up emails through your hosting service or domain company.

Buy the domain and then in your control panel you will be able to create an email, however you may need to pay for email hosting, because a domain on its own doesnt magically get email. Then set up your sub emails with however many people are working in your company.

Once you have your domain name, I recommend http://www.tuffmail.com as a good email service provider. You can use various free services with your domain name but they tend to have adverts tagged onto your outgoing emails and so on, which is obviously unacceptable. I pay £15/year, which isn't bad.

I would say Godaddy is the best for domain names.

I can host it for you at cost price though if it is just for emails.

I always just use www.123-reg.co.uk to register domains. It's cheap and easy to use.
They can provide email as well, but check out tuffmail, above ^

on a slight side note. Do you have to wait for the Nameservers to set in order to set up an email

Most of the above listed companies have space in Data Centres located all over the place. Whilst this is not always obvious to the end user it is important to remember that any IT project will at some point fail. Disaster Recovery is essential is this circumstance so ensure you go for one of the big players, there locations will be more prone to service management principles and will have DR included in the price. From personal experience fasthosts have been the most secure for me.
