Hi all - any chance anyone knows what the implications are if I provide bookkeeping services to the USA. I guess I need to pay corporation tax both in USA and here in UK. Then apply for a tax credit according to double taxation treaty ?

Hi, make sure you tell your Professional Indemnity Insurer.

How much is the USA client worth to you? You may find that the cost of Insurance means it will not be profitable.

You need to consider that if you do something wrong, you are likely to be sued in the US courts - so make sure your Insurance policy has been extended to include it!

Thanks Frank - to be honest without knowing the tax implications I don’t know - I was expecting to charge similar fees than here in the UK but I just wanted to know first the tax implications before doing anything
