It may keep you safe from upsetting Google, but it won't drive traffic flow that brings in the profits
That makes no sense at all.

SEO is a pain in the @rse and takes ages to rank for a lot of keyword imo.
Maybe you are doing it wrong. I’ve never had a problem doing SEO.

I certainly might be- problem I have is the industry (life and health insurance) is very competitive with everyone focusing on SEO.

Most people I've spoke to promise the world and I can't seem them delivering- prefer to piss myself off doing it for low results but focus my energy on what i'm good at.

So don't compete. Focus on very specific services and products.

I'm a diabetic, getting old and work for myself. So I want someone who can help me. I'm not going to google 'health insurance'. I'm going to google for my specific conditions to see what's out there. And because yu would have a page for ancient self employed diabetics there's a good change I'd pick up the phone and call you.

You might only get one call a month. But is you have 100 very targeted pages that's 3 leads per day.

PS: looking at your site even some of the most basic SEO bits are missing

Thanks for the comments- we have been considering making pages for set industries as businesses are our main target but have been stupidly busy and not had the time.

May I ask what are the basic SEO bits you've seen that i'm missing?

Thats website review territory, and you need to be a full member for this.

You can follow the steps given below for improving your SEO

    1. An SEO Website Audit would be an ideal way to start. Make sure that you correct all the possible errors.
    2. Include relevant title and description for every web page as per the services.
    3. Check for content duplicacy.
    4. Make sure that the website is mobile and desktop friendly.
    5. Check for canonical errors.
    6. Focus on offpage activities (social bookmarking, WEB 2.0 submission, Article Posting etc)

@Jason Potterfield - I suggest you update your SEO knowledge. Even mentioning Web 2.0 shows how out of date you are.

closing the thread as there is now a website review
