Why does it have to be a onepage site?

It is possible to do but it's a lot harder than if the landing page was page of a bigger site with breadth, depth and authority.

Just asking if its a one page website , i am not saying it should be a one page site but some of our clients come to us they have designed their website from someone else and now they wanted us to do seo for them , and they give us such stuff like one page website so I am not sure if I suggest them to Re-Design their website or I should do seo of the same website they have already developed.

If they come to you with a one-page site for a competitive term and no money show them the door. It's not worth the effort even trying to do any SEO.

Google likes content, if there is lots of authoritive content and lots of internal linking and the competition isn't fierce and the client has the money to pay for your SEO work then it becomes a viable proposition.

Add links to the content to guide the reader to supporting or related content. Look at how Wikipedia does it.

But if you need to ask this question I do wonder if you are best placed to offer SEO services as this is one of the more basic optimisation methods.

Guess what I ranked many websites without internal linking and then there is one website which is not getting ranked so for that website I am trying my best and getting more information about SEO , and yes then there is one website which I have optimized using internal linking , I got the result but my question is, Is it a spam if I use a keyword as anchor text in my website or is it consider as internal linking ?

If the links add value they are not spam.

You are offering SEO services so you should be able to do your own research (just like I had to). If you can't use google to find the answers then don't sell SEO services.

Don't discount the value of one page sites. We have many ranking on page 1 for specific terms. And that is essentially what they are good for, for ranking for a specific search term.

@fisicx I actually recently recommended your one page WP theme to some friends and they have been using it to build some small very focused properly related sites :)

Internal linking has really worked well for my website but I don't use just the one keyword throughout, its about long-tail keywords.

For example Plumber in London, Plumbers in London, Plumbing in London, Plumbing London, Plumbers London, etc

Then variations such as London Plumbers and such like.

This isn't the best example but hopefully it will help you see that internal linking definitely isn't spam; but also really hard to do if it's a one page website.

I am not and probably never will be a fan of a one page website; I just don't like them.

Fisicx we use forums to get answers of our question , or what else is the use of forum ? and I told you I ranked many websites and still learning , everyday I learn more seo techniques , Thank you.
You are charging clients for SEO services but want us to tell you how to do SEO for free. If you were just doing SEO On your own site things would be different.

one page website is not good for seo purposes and people should not develop one page websites for their companies!!

A one page website is absolutely good for seo if that's all that's required. There's a website I'm familiar with which ranks at #1 for a bunch of keywords and with search demand over 300,000 a month - it's a one page website.

We said that one-page website is not goog for SEO because it is hard to rank on Search Engines. And it is true if you are running a website for the long term than you make the multiple pages website for some special specific tasks you can make a single page website but you can not survive with that if you want to run a long term business.
The best way to do the SEO of a one-page website the content you provided on the website and you have to write the content to your website like there are several multiple pages as other websites have.
As Tin said it is good for SEO if it has all the things that it required.
Internal linking is good for SEO and work well, you can use internal linking on the website by providing the anchor text like if you have a website and writing a content for Website Designing page "we can design the SEO friendly website" so you can anchor the SEO by providing the SEO page link but in SEO page there must be a content related to SEO friendly website if you anchor the word "SEO friendly".

A website should only have as many pages as it needs, no more no less. I know this sounds a bit sarcastic but it's not meant to be. Write for your customers and the search engines will follow.

Good descriptive page text, internal linking where it makes sense to the page flow / structure, don't try and force it too much. Pages with too much text can benefit from being split into separate pages.. again if it feels right.

A little tip that many people overlook and is so easy to do: label your image filenames with descriptive text for example. an image of a football strip could be called something like: newcastle-away-strip.jpg rather than some meaningless filename like 100002f.jpg

This helps your images to get picked and and ranked for google image searches which can add some extra bonus traffic.
