Hi

I am wondering if anyone knows how to get a pop up type stall at the airport or how I would get shelf space at an airport ? . My product is a Tourist card for a particular country so the ideal place to sell them would be the airport.

Any help or advice would be appreciated .

Thank you

How much money have you got?

Airports charge a premium for anything in the terminal. Rent can be hundreds of thousands.

If you want a shelf in WHSmiths you need to talk to them. Expect to pay a very large wodge to them as well.

As an aside, what do you offer that Lonely Planet doesn't do already? I tend to buy my guides long before I get to the airport.

Thank you for your reply . I don’t have a whole load of cash and certainly not hundreds of thousands!

My product is a card that gives some great discounts at restaurants, attractions and spa treatments. The cost of the card is very cheap !

I have tried to research airport selling but there’s virtually no information on it !

Why don't you contact the airports and ask them? Then you'd find out exactly what's involved, how much, what security checks and regulations you'd have to meet, etc.

Thank you for your reply .

I did email one of the relevant people at one of the major airports in London and didn’t even get a reply ! Will have to start hitting the phones and persist !

I had read about a lady who did a pop up at Gatwick airport . But from what I have read on the airport websites it’s the very large brands that obviously have the budgets and track records for them to sell at airports.
