Just out of interest, how many of you have heard of, or already have, a responsive web design for your business?
Yep we've got a fully responsive website across all devices. Its actually quite beautiful.
Would you say you've seen any notable rise in web traffic/any benefits since switching to a responsive design?
I can tell you that many sites are likely to experience increases in traffic in future, with Mary Meeker (industry expert) predicting most device use from 2013 onwards will be mobile - which is what responsive designs are good for.Would you say you've seen any notable rise in web traffic/any benefits since switching to a responsive design?

An their logo doesn't fit or they have annoying chatboxes or the content is squashed into a tiny column in the middle of the screen.......and there's nothing more annoying than coming across a website that isn't responsive, especially if there are pop up screens!
Take a look at Google Analytics for your site and discover how many people are viewing your website on mobile devices already. Go to the dashboard - Audience - Mobile. If you discover your current audience is frequently using mobile devices it's worth improving th site to fit in with their needs, especially if the bounce rates are high and the conversion rates are low. Also visit your own website on your phone and see if it works okay as it is. If it loads quickly and isn't a pain to scroll, navigate, fill in forms, buy and read then you might be able to get away with it. If you find it to be a nightmare then your customers will too.
In my opinion it's certainly worth updating your website to be responsive. I use my phone and tablet to browse online and there's nothing more annoying than coming across a website that isn't responsive, especially if there are pop up screens!
It is unfortunate because while responsive websites can be seo friendly, but some responsive websites are not.
