Hi i have just under a year of recruitment experience in the IT field. Looking to start a company in line with some studying I am doing. I'm looking to start Only Perm on a low cost high turnover - easyjet style business. Does anyone have any experience with any cheap or free job boards; i have already spoke to CV library and they seem quite reasonable.

Linkedin is another cost but do you think it's worth it to a start up looking to spend around £1.2k for the first 3 months.

If anyone has any experience of this it would be great.

My experience of using free job boards aren't that great...poor quality of candidates, however that could just be my experience...I guess what you would be needing is a jobs board that can attract IT candidates. I use Reed and Monster, they aren't always the cheapest but the calibre of candidates is good...

I also spoke to Broad Bean who recommended a few job boards that I hadn't heard of so that maybe an option for you?

Gumtree.com is pretty good and cheap.

Gumtree is free is some regions but I know that you do have to pay to advertise in London..not sure where else though!

Personally I use Reed, Total, Monster, and occassionally a specialist board suited to specific roles.

If you are trying to adopt an easy jet model in Recruitment, it isn't going to work as you imagine it.
