Recruitment Advertising

Hi all

Does anyone know of any good websites that do free recruitment advertising, or advertising at very reasonable rates? We have used the Reed website for a long time but it would appear they have now put a charge in place. They are still doing the free advertising but of course the paying customers get first priority (fair enough).

By far the best eneral recruitment site is Monster but I suspect they charge. Basically, if you want it for free, you ae not going to reach a) the best candidates and b) candidate filtering to ensure that the numbers of time-wasters are minimised.

A few sites give free trials. Our job board directory shows who does free trials so this might help. Other than this you have gumtree (but this is a bit hit and miss and not a dedicated job board and only really used but a few candidate sectors). If you have vacancies you could try posting them on special interest sites and forums and see what they turn up. I am not exactly sure of your business but if you are a recruitment agency/employment agency I think you may find that you need to budget this as the cost of doing business. You could also try to set up a referral scheme with your current registered candidates.

Hi

Gumtree is free in other areas but they charge £19.95 per ad in London.

How about the job centre website, this is popular - www.jobcentre.gov.uk

You can still advertise on Reed but you are right, they will now prioritise paid advertisers.

I recommend Gumtree - £20 in London, free everywhere else. I've always found good people on there, even though I've had to wade through hundreds of bad CVs to find them.
