Ever since Google Domains was acquired by Squarespace, I find myself requiring the transfer of certain domains to a different domain registrar. While Squarespace might offer quality services, their pricing appears to be on the higher side, which doesn't align with my personal preferences.

Up to this point, I've been exploring options like CloudFlare and WordPress for handling domain registrations. However, I'm open to considering any recommendations that come my way.

Am I accurate in assuming that the initial response time of a website (first ping) depends significantly on how swiftly a domain registrar's server can react to my request and furnish the necessary DNS information, including details about site hosting and email servers

Only if you are using the registrar's DNS servers for your domain. You don't have to.

Personally I have always used 123reg for domain registration, but only that. DNS is with my hosting provider.

Same here. 123reg to register domains then change nameservers to my host.
