For ecommerce stores with many products, Amazon has got their UI down. Their navigation is simple. For small ecommerce businesses, it's hard to find an example considering they're small for reason. But you'd want a sales funnel that has a clear purpose from top to bottom.

They are normal people’s websites. They are the ones most normal people use.

If you want a good e-commerce website, replicate one of them.

I like Amazon's one-click checkout. The rest of their site is awful and their search is terrible though.

It really does depend on the content.
If the content is right it doesn't really bother me if it's a brilliant site (as long as it is functional)

The UX is horrendous but looks like its working.

Very hard to pull it of well which is what they have done - most sites trying to do something like that would be a disaster.

One of the main factors in a good website is the speed, people don't want to wait for pages to upload and browse quickly. I do it myself these days. I find my self leaving if the pages don't load fast enough.

Outstanding user experiences. Easy for users to find what they’re looking for and move further down the conversion funnel. Website speed. Variation of products.

depends on the market - websites are designed for different crowd IMO. Amazon is mass sales, not on the high street is for a different one

I like websites like this, and they often get my business. I find them trustworthy and the person behind the site likely knows their product well.

They probably look at their website on their desktop with pride unaware of how hard it is to use on a mobile or how outdated it looks.

But I bet most of them do well enough with sales that they don’t feel the need to update them.

It's got a few basic mistakes on it, some pages don't appear to be there yet (or they are using wrong menu) and some links are wrong (it jumps back to the Singapore site when it shouldn't) apart from that I think it's really good.
