Ranking with keywords

hi there
until recently i had been using cuterank checker to quickly access the positioning of my site for my keywords/terms on the major SE. For some reason or other it isnt working for me anymore despite numerous attempts to reload and contacting their help facility.
i was wondering if anyone could recommend an alternative FREE system which is just as good - was recommended cuterank through one of these forums and was very grateful. hoping for some help again. thanks in advance.:|

I know it is a pain but don't discount checking the positions manually, I would recommend taking your top 50 or 100 keywords and checking your positions in google twice a week (log out of your Google account and clear your cache first though) - doing it this way enables you to see where your competitors are and also compare titles and meta descriptions as you go.

Cuterank looks good shame it has stopped working.

Use your analytics. See what search terms people used to visit your site and then do a manual check.

Assume everything else isn't ranking.

Remember as well that Google takes into account your search history, location, browser, OS, time of day and a whole load of other factors when delivering results so your cuterank checker was probably woefully inaccurate.

I do use a site rank checker that isn't free, but I also check them manually all the time. I don't get to obsessive about seeing the current update and will only check to see if it's on the first 4 pages.

If it's not, I just keep doing my seo. I do check for my pages showing up for articles and videos that are being shown on the first pages from Youtube and places like Ezinearticles.
