Not sure where best to post the thread.

Unfortunately carried on with Quickbooks Online as nothing else really covered my issues and there was no point moving to something new if it didn't improve my mood.

Some of our reporting for year on year, month by month analysis involves knowing how much we quoted. Then the usual reporting features of accounting packages required.

Still using Quickbooks Online, there is a report to show estimates by customer.

But our problem is with quickbooks online / intuit's thought process that we can do everything from just the estimate feature we lose information.

We could quote
5x XYZ whiteboards
5x ABC whiteboards

Customer gives purchase order for 5 XYZ whiteboards and doesn't want the 5 ABC whiteboards.
If we remove the 5 ABC whiteboards from the estimate in order to turn it into a so-called sales order > then invoice we've lost the data of the original quote.

So I am still on the hunt for something will do the job and reporting vital information?

I want a quoting section. Item code, Description, price.
I want to click a button that transforms it into a Sales Order
I want to open a Sales Order and click a button that transforms it into an Invoice
I want to open a Sales Order and click a different button that transforms it into a Purchase Order.

Stock management required.
Management reporting required.

Any thoughts?

Just bring Quickbooks Desktop back or replicate the full thing online!

Do the quotes from CRM and then invoice from accounting system?
