Very true - that's why there are no business websites is search results.
You are such a bore.
Well, I was talking about 2 sites linking with each other, so I dunno what you're babbling on about. But its not anything you can do much about anyway as the web is out of your control, so anything you got to say or wish for - is irrelevant.
People that think they can control and manipulate the SERPS to incredible advantage - oh dear. I'm going to explain this to you once - the SERPS are Free!, they aren't going to give you the world for nothing, bcos a search engine's aim is to get you to pay for adverts, so its very unlikely you will get amazing results and if they allowed this, the websites would never pay and the engines will lose out.
The 2nd proof is top keywords which earn millions of clicks eg: Travel @ 1,760,000,000 means that 99.9% cannot rank for it, bcos that keyword cost too much to maintain or own.
The 3rd proof is there's only 10 ranking positions available for each page, and the amount of business websites in the world, cannot physically fill/own a top SERP position - there's too many sites and too few pages. This is a fact! And those sites must sit in order in the SERP pages, they cannot all be No1 or in the top 10
Even if you had the cash and matched what Expedia spend monthly, you'd never beat them, mainly as their website is top notch and has 'standing' so it will always be higher.
The 4th bit of proof is Links - and as directories often beat biz websites in the rankings, they obviously have more links and many more pages, often in the thousands, which funnily enough generate clicks, which is a ranking factor when judging how high a website sits in the SERPS.
So a website with 10'000 pages of useful content, must outrank some ordinary biz website, as its an a authority, has a ton of content, likely gets thousands of links and is clicked on more, which results in a large boost in the SERPS.
But if you think you can beat such sites, your very welcome to try it. But you'll never beat the best sites and that's all there is to it. I can prove this easily..
