Product liability insurance

Hi,

Can anyone recommend any insurance companies that offer product liability insurance for cosmetics and supplements, please?

I had a look through the UKBF guides but didn’t see any mention of product liability insurance. Maybe I missed it. If I did, could someone post the link, please?

For the benefit of other members:

There are a few specialist insurers that will look at providing a quotation, but they will need full information (usually involves completion of a form).

Markel is an insurer I have arranged cover with for a cosmetic business.

The availability of cover will depend on whether you are making it yourself or importing - if important insurers are likely to want to know what you are doing for quality checks / batch testing.

I suggest talking to an independent insurance broker who can access the relevant insurers for your business.

Note - Products Liability is rarely available on its own - it is usually arranged together with Public Liability insurance cover.
