I'm building a website where each product page should already be relevant to the potential buyer interested in my services. However, I will most likely create some simpler landing pages for my core products.

My site is based on Woocommerce. So where do I put these simple landing pages on my website..part of a blog? Or on a different website altogether and send the traffic to my main site?

Will these landing pages compete with my own SEO'd product pages in google?

Put them wherever you want. They can be orphan pages and you can block Google from indexing them.

Building a PPC landing page isn’t easy. You will need to get a custom template created for your theme, you can’t use a standard woo product page.

As @fisicx has said, these are non customer facing pages for most organic journeys on the website, other than PPC traffic.

This means you "noindex" each PPC landing page in WordPress using your SEO plugin (Yoast etc), you can then setup multiple pages that are very similar with no impact on SEO. You can also setup different version and A/B test them to improve conversion and sales.

A tip from us is to set them up in a folder or add an identifier like PPC, as this makes them easier to manage and find in the WordPress backend, as you may end up with loads of them...

Thanks, yes I have have smart looking theme. I can build a good looking landing page which would appear to be part of the site and not an obvious unappealing click bait advert.

What do mean by 'block Google from indexing them'? Block Google from adding it to their organic search results?

Looking good is right down the bottom of the list of things needed for an effective landing page.

The visitor already knows what they want so your job is sell it to them.

You need decent images (not the normal rubbish Woo formatting), description, specifications, delivery and returns info, pricing and a means to make payments.

Avoid distractions, even to the point of removing menus and other features.

Everything they need should be on this page.

Don't even offer registering for a new account. The payment process should be as simple as possible.

Getting it right can take a while. Google returns a whole load or websites offering advice. It's worth spending time doing some research.

Yes. Do this in your htaccess

As @Paul Carmen - put then in a separate folder or their own category to make it simpler.

The landing page is the most important part of a PPC campaign. Get it wrong and your money will be gone with zero sales.
