Powerpoint to DVD

A friend of mine has asked me to see if there is a way to convert an MS Powerpoint presentation so that it will play on a stand-alone DVD player.

Anyone any experience of this? Recommendations for freeware appreciated as I don't want to shell out cash for a one-off job.

when you say standalone, do you mean so people can pop it in their player and watch it on TV ?
