Can anyone recommend a self-contained piece of software that will allow me run PowerPoint presentations straight from a pendrive?

In otherwords the software would be on the pendrive as would the ppt file so that I could run it on a PC that did not have PowerPoint installed.

If it's free, even better. :p

Since the data on the pen/flash drive would be processed by the computing machine, it is necessary that the essential files are loaded onto it. So, you'd either required that PowerPoint is pre-loaded or you'll have to install it whenever you are to show the ppt.

Else you may have the openoffice setup in the flash drive, it should help you a great deal with soving the issue.

Isn't there an option to save as PowerPoint slideshow so it runs without loading the program. I'm sure that how I used to do it.

Probably, but I'll be using a laptop that I haven't yet seen, I don't have a clue what drivers it does or doesn't have, I don't know if it is XP, Vista or 7 and I cannot find out until I'm there tomorrow so I'm just trying to make sure that everything I need is on the pendrive.

I've just downloaded the software, installed it on a drive and ran a PPT on it. I've only got one complaint about it. It took a whole 30 seconds to download the file :D

Just kidding I can't complain, it works exactly as required.
