Post Office / A&L Banking

With Alliance & Leicester Commercial I can do a lot of my banking through any branch of the Post Office.

I have a card which lets me deposit cash in a Post Office - does anyone know if this will credit to my account straight away like it would in a branch of A&L?

Anyone else use their services?
