Hi Nick,

My first thoughts on landing are: 'I don't believe you' and your case study doesn't do anything to verify you claim. It just tells me about ranking not about how they increase leads 10X.

I then got really annoyed about the slide in. I had to close this to continue reading. Even worse, it keeps coming back - I can't seem to get rid of the thing.

At this point I gave up trying to review your site.

Look at the site on your phone. Ignoring the poor layout, the pricing table is borked.

And just seen the horrible spammy footer. That sort of thing looks like a plumber trying to rank for different locations.

Nick, even you must admit that the photos are below selfie-standard! There musty be someone there who is the proud owner of a DSLR and knows how to light and frame a picture!

As for the copy - I am about to record a video on how to write decent copy and you REALLY need a primer on that subject. There are 12 things to bear in mind when writing copy and rule number one is to write about the customer, not about yourself.

Sorry that we are all being so blunt, but I would really suggest that you pay close attention to what is being said. It's all going to help you in the long run!

Please watch my next video (on the subject of writing copy) - though I do not know when it goes up online, but I do know that you would benefit from it, so I shall make it a point to PM you when it goes live. Sometime next week - unfortunately, I have to prepare for a one-hour TV programme recording over the weekend - damn!

But as an Internet marketing agency, being good at persuading people to hire you is everything - and everything you write is ad-copy!

In your case study the bounce rate is 80% That suggests the site ranks but converts poorly.

Also worth noting the site isn’t in the 3 pack. Which means many potential clients won’t even scroll down.

Not sure on the colours, text style, photos etc. You have the gist re getting some of your messaging over, but I think you would benefit from a new set of copy, calls to action, more case studies etc.

In your case study for instance, instead of a small book a call button, use a call to action, like Do you want to get big increases in business and profits? Contact us here for a free chat. Or something similar.

I have never paid for a website to be set up fully before, I was suprised at the costs, but I am not your target customer.

Looks like a cheaply designed site and you're offering web design packages from £1,497 to upwards of £5,997 I don't think your current design supports your design prices.

The reviews at the top of your home page don't look genuine, add the clients website address to their review to add more trust to the reviews.

What's with the widely differing font sizes and colours? On this url https://nickwalshstudios.com/cardiff-seo/ you've got 12 boxes with very pale coloured copy in them on a white background. The whole thing looks like it's been designed over a period of time with differing design ideas at different times.

It is all about you, you haven't come at this from the perspective of a customers 'pain points' and then offered solutions, unfortunately it's all about your service, you're not talking to your potential customers in a way which might make them feel they want to work with you.

Last thing, you're using the same sliding testimonials everywhere which makes me think they're the only ones you've got (it's the fact they're repeated all over the site that's making me think this) cut them down and only show them on the important pages, that'll help stop viewers from seeing them as often and help prevent the viewers from feeling they're the only ones you've got.

Many thanks to all for review will add the points to the notes in the new web design spec.

Having a mockup done will add it here when done for comments.

Exactly what I did without thinking about the results, learnt my lesson.

    Mock up of what?

It's the content that's the problem not the theme (apart from your use of elementor).

I would recommend trying to upload ten to twenty type case studies, testimonials, with before and after results etc. Your main target client will be interested in real results, ROI, increased leads, traffic etc.

You are in a business where anyone can make claims, what people want is confidence in future results. Maybe make some video testimonials/interviews with previous clients. The more the better.

How’s that going to work on a phone?

really not sure the blue background works. And there are still bits all over the place. There is no focus to the page.

And I’m not convince by your claim that a new site will double my leads/sales. Surely it’s the content that does this not the packaging.

    By the user infinity scrolling.
I sort of got that feeling as well. A page that goes on and on and on and on.

I was taught many years ago you need you grab their attention within 2 seconds. If it takes longer than that to work out whats' on offer you have already failed.

It's probably less than 2 seconds now.

@Nick Walsh Studios - what's going to be your main marketing method? It's this that will drive the design of the homepage.

The red writing in the centre smacks you in the face and with it being so long I've not bothered reading it.
People look for trust markers once they have found what they are looking for so put your reviews above the footer.
You have a CTA at the top of the text which is in prime position for people visiting to see what they expect to see. If its not there then they will leave and not click your super huge button.
Sorry but not a good first impression.
